;; - 4.75 out of 5 (5/18/1999)
The Movie:
1998 will forever be remembered as the year that brought us the battle of the bugs at the box office. Although Antz was not the biggest money maker between the two films it is a good film and a great DVD.
Antz tells the story of a worker ant named Z. Z is an ant with 'issues,' as he doesn't like his job and doesn't understand his meaning in life. This all changes when one night at the bar he meets a beautiful ant who just happens to be the princess of the colony. Unf

A BUG'S LIFE rival but... for adults - 5 out of 5 (10/26/2001)
Don't need to go again with the war between those 2 movies, so I'm going to the movie itself.
If you're the kind of people that are looking for a computer animated film that isn't so childish, well you have come to the right place.
If you tought that the Toy Story films or A Bug's Life were kiddie films( I really doubt so), you should give this one a try since it will apply to your tastes.
This film is more "dark" in style because 95% of the movie takes place under the groun

You will love that cute little Antz :))) - 4.5 out of 5 (2/16/2000)
This is a great movie aimed at adults than children..
But children would enjoy it too..Animation is smooth, great and
transfer is excellent.
The film is entertaining computer animated film
about an ant named Z..
It might be sophisticated for little kids be warned.
Antz is better than Bugs Life in plot as I stated
in my Bugs Life review.
It's colors and textures are stunning.
Impressive grasshopper characters are unbelieveable..Battle scenes are so lifelike.
Very high quality animation

Antz is good fanfare for kids and adults alike - 3.25 out of 5 (6/27/1999)
Sorry, I got a new e-mail and I want to restore all my original comments onto one name.
Antz, the "other bug movie" did surprisingly well at the box office and helped Dreamworks make some money finally. Don't be fooled, this movie is not only for kids and can be enjoyed by all ages alike. Woody Allen gives one of his best performances as an independer thinker/ worker named Z, who's life drastically changed after he meets Princess Bala (Sharon Stone). After he meets her, he switches place with
